Victoria Arts Festival 2014

This week was the annual Arts Festival at Victoria School of the Arts. There were too many events to take them all in. We just dipped our toes in, if we had more time we could have spent the whole weekend at the school. The girls performed a few times each, and Jasmine helped with face painting.

On Saturday morning we had the pleasure of watching the grade 8 and 9 bands perform.
First the grade 8s performed, with Jasmine on the clarinet.

Then they were joined by the grade 9s. I was really impressed by their sound, the stage wasn’t full but the sound filled the auditorium.

In the afternoon Paris performed with the rest of the elementary students. The grade 6s performed the song from their Exhibition, which they start singing in the lobby and continue as they walk past us in the audience before settling on stage, it is really powerful.
